About Our Founder

Lydia Igoche is the Founder of SheLeads in Tech. Her mission is to facilitate the entry and retention of women in the technology industry. 

Lydia's background is in Information and Communications Technology, where she has spent over 15 years testing and developing solutions for use in Fixed Access, Mobile and Smart Metering Networks.

Her passion for setting up an action-led social platform is driven by her experience entering and navigating progress in the tech industry.

Her FIRST-HAND experience makes her a seasoned guide who can nudge women in tech to take action and sustain their careers in the long term.

She is a strong and purpose-driven leader, focused on bringing out the best in others. She believes that when women cannot participate in building technology for our present and future, we all lose.

Alongside founding SheLeads in tech, Lydia heads up the Test and Assurance function for Smart Metering Cooperative Althan Co. and pursues research in Wireless Communications at the University of Kent.
